About Picuino¶
Picuino is a project of open resources for teaching Technology in Secondary Education, designed to enable practical learning from the very beginning.
It brings together theory, exercises, simulators, and ready-to-use projects for the classroom, or to be adapted to your needs.
What is Picuino¶
Picuino is a personal project created by Carlos Pardo, a Secondary Education teacher, born from years of real classroom experience.
Its purpose is to facilitate the teaching of Technology through clear, well-structured materials that can be directly applied in class.
What it offers¶
In Picuino you will find:
- Content aligned with the Technology curriculum.
- Materials ready to use in the classroom.
- Exercises and quizzes to reinforce learning.
- Visual simulators (electricity, pneumatics, logic...).
- Open, adaptable, and reusable resources.
Everything is designed to:
- Promote autonomous learning.
- Facilitate work in the computer lab.
- Connect theory and practice from day one.
Who it is for¶
Picuino is especially aimed at:
- Technology teachers in Secondary Education.
- Teachers looking for open and adaptable resources.
- Students interested in learning Technology in a practical way.
How learning works¶
The approach is clear: learning by doing.
The content is designed so that students can:
- Work independently.
- Apply concepts from the beginning.
- Solve real-world problems.
- Progress at their own pace.
The goal is not only to understand the theory, but to know how to use it in a practical way.
Open philosophy¶
Many educational materials are closed or difficult to adapt to the reality of the classroom.
Picuino proposes another way of teaching and learning:
- Open and accessible resources.
- Reusable and customizable materials.
- Content created to evolve and improve with teaching experience.
So that any teacher can modify, improve, and use them according to their needs.
